The event itself is open to the public and organized by The Little Speed Shop. To assemble and drive with the Upstate New York Car Club on the Fun Run and the Watkins Glen International race track, however, you must be a UNYCC Member.
1. Why do we have to leave so early to get to The Little Speed Shop?
The event’s parking lot fills up pretty quickly, and when we’ve arrived on time in the past, we had to park separately and some members had to park far away from the main area, which also increased the chance of our group getting separated on the drive from TLSS to Watkins Glen.
2. Can we just go directly to the track?
There might be another group from the club that will opt to go directly to the track, instead of stopping at The Little Speed Shop’s Cars & Coffee first. If that’s what you’d like to do, please inquire in our online chat to see what the plans are for that group before registering on this page. This page is ONLY for people going to The Little Speed Shop first. The group going directly to the Watkins Glen track should NOT RSPV on this page.
The group skipping The Little Speed Shop Fun Run and going directly to the Watkins Glen track usually enters the track with the general public. The group coming from TLSS enters the track through a dedicated gate separate from the general public and is processed as a group.

Join us for The Little Speed Shop’s 10th Annual Fun Run to Opening Day at Watkins Glen International on Saturday April 4th, 2020.
The event will start at TLSS at 8:00 am for a big meet, coffee, vendors, food truck, raffles and give-a-ways before we head out to the track. The group will then caravan out to the Glen via an exciting route. Directions will be emailed to ticket holders and provided upon check in at the shop on the day of the event. For $25 each car is provided with 3 paced laps. Bring cash, $25 per car to pay for the laps when we arrive at WGI. Our TLSS on track session is set for 1:30 pm.
Whether you are an experienced track professional or driving the family minivan with your kids, this event is guaranteed fun for all. We look forward to our clients, family and friends coming together for this exciting day.
After a huge 500+ car turnout last year we have many exciting new things planned this year, so don’t miss out on the fun. If you are not able to join the cruise feel free to stop by the The Little Speed Shop before we head out and join in the pre-party and see the caravan off. As usual, we will be riding rain, snow, or shine. Bring your car fueled up and ready to go. Everyone is welcome. This is a great opportunity to get a bunch of your car buddies, car club members, or teams together to ride.
Admittance to the event is free but EACH attendee MUST register and sign the waiver using the button below. In the event that you do not complete the online registration and waiver, you might be asked to pull out of the entry line to sign the waiver, so it’s in your best interested to register and sign the waiver a few days before you arrive at the event.
This year we will be raising money for a charity that is near and dear to our hearts, The Cancer Couch Foundation. The Cancer Couch Foundation is a volunteer run, privately funded, non-profit organization where an unprecedented 100% of donations and event proceeds are matched and go directly to fund Metastatic Breast Cancer research. Please support The Cancer Couch Foundation in its mission to accelerate treatment, and someday find a cure, for Metastatic Breast Cancer. Donations will be accepted on the ticket site and throughout the event.
