MANY IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED FOR 2022

Because of the pandemic, right now, the Upstate New York Car Club’s Event Planner will not organize many in-person activities for 2022. UNYCC club members do, however, volunteer to organize club activities themselves on behalf of the club, and UNYCC reimburses the organizers for expenses if the costs are reasonable and pre-approved. Many of our current club events are related to autocross, amateur, and professional track events, which are not covered by UNYCC. Please note that we do have a VERY active private chat where were share knowledge, experiences, and photographs. We have a number of mechanics, computer techies and photographers in the club, as well as a few doctors. No, you cannot get medical advice. 😂

About the Club

Who We Are

The Upstate New York Car Club is based in Ithaca, NY, and open to all car enthusiasts in the Upstate New York region. We attend events throughout Upstate NY (i.e. Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, etc.) and the surrounding states. Many of our members reside in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Auburn, Geneva, Horseheads/Elmira, and even places closer to NYC than to Ithaca. You don’t actually need to own a car to be a member.

The Upstate New York Car Club is a yearlong automotive enthusiast experience service provided by dhgoodall LLC.

Club Goals

Connect car enthusiasts and clubs throughout the Upstate New York region.
Create a safe space and inclusive environment for automotive fans.
Share information about advancements in automotive technology.
Increase awareness and knowledge about automotive history.
Advocate and promote safer and courteous driving practices.

How We Communicate

Club members usually connect on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis through a free app on their smartphones and/or computers. We also use the app to coordinate club activities, such as meets and cruises. The club is VERY active on the app, but don’t worry: you can always mute notifications through the app if the chat gets too busy and set it to notify you only when other members mention your name. 🙂

Club Rules

Standard Rules

You must Like the Upstate New York Car Club on Facebook (if you have a Facebook account).
You must be enthusiastic about cars.
You must honor and follow our high standards of behavior on your way to, during, and when leaving club events, obeying local, state, and federal laws.
And, most importantly, you must not be discriminatory toward other people’s cars, nationality, ethnicity/race, gender, age, or sexual orientation. The Upstate New York Car Club is a safe, inclusive, and diverse environment.

COVID-related Rules

Our official club events will comply with ALL Federal and State regulations, mandates, and guidelines surrounding the COVID-19. We will wear masks at ALL Upstate New York Car Club events, and the masks must be worn properly, which means over the mouth and over the nose. While you are in your vehicle alone or with someone who lives in your household, you are not required to wear a mask as long as you comply with Federal and State COVID guidelines.

Waiver Policy

In order to participate in official Upstate New York Car Club events, each person will be REQUIRED to sign a digital waiver for EACH EVENT in order to be permitted to participate in the event. The waiver is the standard agreement that many members have signed in the past. The waivers can easily be signed on your mobile phone or computer, so they take about a minute to complete.

FOR COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS

Solicitation is NOT permitted within the Upstate New York Car Club (UNYCC). Companies, organizations, or their representatives cannot market goods or services directly to UNYCC Members at events, online, or through our communications app. We try to create an environment where club members don’t have to worry about being overwhelmed by marketing.
